The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi

3.0

That. Ending.

Unfortunately I do think The Silvered Serpents suffered from second book syndrome...it definitely felt like a middle book, and despite the stakes being ostensibly high for the characters, they didn't feel high in a gripping, page-turning way. However, the ending was certainly a cliffhanger, and sets up the next book to be (if it's possible) even angstier.

I definitely plan to continue the series, but unfortunately I didn't love The Silvered Serpents as much as I enjoyed The Gilded Wolves.
