The thing with this book is that I love revisiting my favourite characters. I love Dekka en the scene in Perdido Beach brought me to tears.
Some new characters however and the way some rules about the abilities were changed really didn’t work for me.
I want to continue reading because of Dekka and the gang, but the story changed so much from the original six books, that I’m not reading for the plot or the new characters if that makes sense.
Michael Grant made some choices that I would definitely not have made let that be clear. Does that mean the book is inherently bad? No.
I just expected something very different.
