The Therapist by B.A. Paris

3.0

The Therapist was one of those thrillers that I enjoyed reading but it unfortunately fell just a little flat for me in the end. The setting was creative and made sense for the entire book/story. The characters were plentiful and written to continuously second guess all of their motives, and the story itself was intriguing. Ultimately, I didn't enjoy following the main character at all. I found her hard to follow, trust (and not in an untrustworthy main character type of way), and just all together a little frustrating. Although some twists were a little predictable, I didn't mind overall. I think this was a fast-reading, domestic thriller that ended up being a nice, lighter read. Truthfully, I'll always pick up a B.A. Paris book no matter what the story and this one was no exception.
