I am breathless. The ending was just…wow. I need the next book immediately.

Now, the more helpful part of the review:
  • This is a fantasy book that isn’t “too fantasy” if that makes sense. Still real enough to be enjoyable.
  • There were some plot points that didn’t make sense, logic I couldn’t follow. I didn’t care and I bet it’ll make sense in book 2.
  • There’s some gore. Not so much that it will give you nightmares.

A thought:
If Vis achieved synchronization and is able to communicate/send help to himself from other worlds/times, then the reappearance of Diago (the Alupi version) makes total sense. It didn’t make sense in the moment and it was the one part of the plot that felt a little too convenient. I didn’t like it then, but now I feel like I’ve found an Easter egg.
