Stone Cold Touch by Jennifer L. Armentrout
5.0
“I know exactly how he looks at you and you do, too … Because it’s the way I look at you.”
Summary
Layla is a half-demon, half-gargoyle whose kiss will steal the soul of whomever she kisses. She has grown up along the Wardens, a race of gargoyles whose mission is to eradicate any demons that walk on the earth. All she wants is to live a normal life, and she spends her time crushing on Zayne, the Warden who will only ever see her as a little sister. Then she meets Roth, a demon who tempts her to embrace her demonic side. And with no soul, the whole kissing thing isn't an issue. When Layla discovers that she is the cause of a violent demon uprising, kissing seems like the least of her problems.
Review
This second novel in this series took my expectations and turned them on my head. This one focused on the ~other~ love interest than the one that was the main focus in the first novel, and I found myself *so* torn on what guy I wanted Layla to end up with. I know that it is a good love triangle when I find myself unsure what direction I want the book to go! The angst was just so, so good.
The pacing of book was again, fast and fun. The drama is extremely high stakes and I was so drawn in I didn't want to put this book down!
