The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

5.0

This was a charming French... very French... tale told through what seems to be a children's storybook at first, but deals with those of life's complexities that don't really click for a while. Letting go, taking control, and finding ways to deal with the rest of life's problems through a lens of absurd, existentially mortal honesty pervades in this story. The Little Prince takes notes from the French philosophy scene of the 20th century to engage the reader in new, developing, and timeless ideas about the ways we act and think. Gorgeous.
