"but i still don't know how to fix myself."
"there's nothing broken to be fixed," he said fiercely. "you are helping yourself. healing the parts of you that hurt too much - and perhaps hurt others too."

3/9/2021 - i have never in my life related to a character the way i do to nesta. her struggles with her mental health are so real and raw, and watching her growth has renewed my hope for my own journey 💛

"everyone deserves happiness. the road there isn't easy. it is long, and hard, and often traveled utterly blind. but you keep going. because you know the destination will be worthwhile."

11/9/2021 - i just finished my first reread of many and this book still hit me hard as hell. i've hit a new rock bottom lately, and i hoped that nesta's story would give me hope. i literally just finished it but i'm thinking it will. also i originally read the ebook, but i have a physical copy now and it was powerful to read some of these quotes on a page.

how does this get more impactful every time i read it? honestly, this was mostly a reread to prep for cc3 (and trust me i have a million wild notes and theories scattered throughout) but nesta's story and growth is so heart-shatteringly beautiful. i am a former nesta hater, but it's because i AM nesta. broken, traumatized, angry. desperately trying to find the light at the end of the gods forsaken tunnel we call life. but if she can heal and grow and live, so can i.

so can i.
