Studfinder by L.B. Dunbar

4.0

Studfinder is the fifth book in the Busy Bean series, but I had no problems reading it as a stand-alone. It was a fast-paced and easy book to read in one sitting. The characters were more mature than what I have been reading lately which was refreshing since there was less drama. They were likable with real-world issues. Rita was upfront and not afraid to tell it as she saw it. She was a lawyer but was still trying to figure out her future. Jake was an ex-con just trying to do his time so he could leave his past behind. The attraction between the two was instantaneous and hot. It was a perfect book for a weekend read.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
