I've held off on posting this review for literally weeks now because I keep changing my kind on what I thought of it but I've realised that just it's one of those books where if someone asked me what it's about/what happens I probably couldn't tell them🤦🏻‍♀️ that being said, I still really enjoyed it!😂

This book is so talked about on social media and ALOT of people put it down as a sapphic romance, when honestly not even a quarter of the book deals with romance plots of any kind. It's mainly war, politics, gender roles and Zhu doing questionable things to achieve what she believes is her destiny.
