The Fate of Fausto by Oliver Jeffers
4.0
Such a simple book with such powerful message about human greed, selfishness and need for power.
This book shows how humans destroy and try to take charge of nature but how ultimately nature will always be more powerful. The ending is shocking and very much drives the message home.
It would be interesting to discuss with children the significance of colour and pathetic fallacy as well as discussing how the emotion of anger will not always get us what we want.
