♥︎ — this was my groupchats book club read this month!
♥︎ — ngl this book to me felt like it was trying to duplicate AGGGTM from the very spot but it went too far at times, like as if the author tried to make iris into pippa??? iris was quite frankly not that great of an ‘amateur detective’ most of the stuff she ‘discovered’ was already laid out for her tbh.
♥︎ — the podcast element of this also felt very unnecessary. none of those podcasts had anything to add to the mystery or to help unravel the puzzle. THE MAIN CHARACTER DIDNT EVEN LISTEN TO THEM UNTIL HALF WAY?? What’s the point in that!!
♥︎ — I don’t wanna be completely negative about this book but i found the pace easy ish to read, i was interested to find out how it would unravel and enjoyed the romance. i do think the author has great potential i would definitely read from this author again. this book felt predictable for me and the ending didn’t shock me!
