You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi

Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just didn’t. The writing felt repetitive and watt-pad like and the fact that there was a swear word seemingly every other sentence just got really annoying. As well as that, the characters were self-centred and unlikeable but the author seemed to keep using their trauma and “beauty” to justify them being that way. 

I was SO hopeful but it just didn’t meet the mark for me
