Unlikeable Female Characters by Anna Bogutskaya
4.0
funny informative reflective fast-paced

Favorite quote: "There's no room for 'likeability' in the gray areas of life, and there shouldn't be any on our screens" (pg. 305).

Despite some errors (ex: Miloš Forman instead of Stephen Frears being listed as the director of Dangerous Liaisons), I found Bogutskaya's argument for more gray-area female characters to be compelling especially her sections on the "Bitch" and the section on Amy Dunne (having a female villain who does her actions just cause and in a bad light).
