Sisters in the Wind by Angeline Boulley

Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Managed to get this book early from my bookstore and it was so worth it.
A lot of the middle portion is quite slow looking back on it but I like Angeline Boulley's writing and character development enough that I was genuinely entertained enough to not notice at all.
Wanted to read this book more closely than I normally would to spend more time with it. I assume I'm just not good at it yet and I hope I can look up some interpretations about some of these questions and whatnot once some more people have been able to read it.
As someone who has been thoroughly interested in the Canadian child welfare system and "high risk youth" somewhat recently, this seems to me like a very accurate depiction of what others have described, Boulley knows the material well from the research and personal experience I'm sure she drew from.
I hope there will be more books to be continued in this universe, but if it's only been these 3 then I think I'll be okay too.
