Approximately two hours and 108 pages (of the story) later I can say that I fairly enjoyed this book. The style of the author is right up my alley and the way the chapters were divided was genius imo (tho it is rather easy to impress me when it gets to books, still doesn't stop me from enjoying them). Just following the characters as time is moving on feels like a really nice concept and I'd love to see more of that. Though the story was short it had a nice plot and rather surprising twist that actually got me to put the book down for a minute and just stare into the void. Yet I think the ending was too abrupt and it felt like something was missing, leaving a weird aftertaste behind, though that could be the open ended principle of the story, which is something that never fails to frustrate me. I would recommend reading this if you enjoy unsettling and scientific stories nonetheless, even though I don't know if the scientific bits in the story were accurate or not, though if it makes sense in the story itself I don't dwell too long on the question "Is this actually a thing or not?". It still gets me to do more research on the topic afterwards, or at least tell my best friend about it who will then question me on its accuracy and actually get me to do my research.
Moderate: Animal death
Minor: Violence
