Never Say You Can't Survive: How to Get Through Hard Times by Making Up Stories by Charlie Jane Anders

funny hopeful informative inspiring lighthearted reflective medium-paced

4.0

A pretty solid book on writing and the role of storytelling in surviving and coping with the world.  If you're a writer who struggles with writing due to anxiety, depression, burnout, and other struggles in your life, this may not offer QUITE the revelations you might be looking for, but it offers a few solid tips, and does a lot to reframe aspects of the writing process in ways that may be helpful.  It's probably most helpful to a very new writer, but there is still value in it for someone more experienced.
