While I continue to enjoy this series, I didn't find this book worked for me.

I liked the scenes with Zanya 200 years in the past and wish we'd had more of them, and enjoyed the twisty and illogical ways the time travel affected history/the present. I found the deaths of
Mabin & Saleen
to be jarringly unexpected, removed some interesting characters, and the fallout from that was initially interesting but
wrapped up with water magic and seemingly no further consequences?
. I also want to see Karis get to do more! It seem she's always being held back against her nature, or making rash decisions everyone else has to scramble to support. (maybe that's the point, and I'm missing it?)

Still looking forward to Air Logic.
