I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is my first Kristyn DeMaster book. It won’t be my last.

From the very beginning, the book had me hooked. I read it in one sitting - I could not put it down.

Grace is so fragile, her strength sitting just below the surface, running from life for over 2 years now. Michael is the force that brings that strength out, with the hope that she can have a real future. This story is so well written. I felt every fear, every tear, every pounding heart beat as I read it.

This is a slow burn read and it’s worth every bit of the wait. I LOVE Michael and Grace and the family they have around them. Grace is a victim, but she doesn’t play the victim. Michael is her savior, but he doesn’t push himself onto her life. He allows her to see her own worth, allows her to heal, while holding back his feelings, until he can’t.

The intense drama of their situation had my heart pounding. I just can’t say enough about how well this book was written. It felt like I was right there in the story experiencing everything along with them.

This is a wonderful, romantic story full of drama and the angst we all love to read about.
