This is SJMs most diverse book of the TOG series. The world she crafted in this book is, hands down, some of the best world building she's done.

There are many new characters introduced, and while I wouldn't have minded a character list or family tree, I still felt like I'd known them for the entire series.

For me, the one flaw of this book was Chaols chapters. To begin with, the character was - there's no other word for it - frustrating as 💩. I rolled my eyes for a lot of his chapters, and it was only towards the end that he became (for me) somewhat tolerable.

I hope we see more of the newest characters in the next book!
