Delightful little romance novel based on the world of Exandria from Critical Role! I don’t know much about Critical Role and Exandria, so I’m sure I maybe missed some Easter eggs that fans would catch, but I liked the book anyway!
Definitely leans into the “sheltered, sunshine” x “worldly, grumpy” character tropes but I did enjoy how each character changed and grew and faced their own misconceptions. The ending felt a little rushed in my opinion, and the bad guy a little underdeveloped, but i was okay with the “lighter” tone of the story/world. The spice was well written!
