Ok. I enjoyed the book. A few notes: this isn’t really enemies to lovers. Also, I have some issues with the following… a bit spoiler-y ahead…
The whole rejected mate thing is a bit of an exaggeration as it wasn’t deliberate. I can see how one party felt rejected, but the other party was unaware of rejecting them. There was a lack of communication that drove the majority of the conflict. If anything it seemed like Mac was the most to blame. If he hadn’t put Conner’s shirt on the table before he arrived none of this would have happened. But, again, I enjoyed the story.
