tense
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? Character
- Strong character development? Yes
4.5
This was amazing. Leigh Bardugo has done it again, folks.
The historical fiction with a bit of magic tossed in is just *chefs kiss*
The characters are phenomenal with great character development (Valentina I’m looking at you).
The ROMANCE is beautifully done. A lot of books these days are so sexually driven. It was nice to read about a romance where they aren’t groping each other “on screen”. The romance itself is so subtle at first, but then just bursts into flames (see what I did there).
Overall, 4.5/5 stars - a great and beautiful read
