Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey
3.0
The TV show has got to be one of the best and most faithful adaptations of a book out there.
- Obviously the show rearranges things in the plot a little bit, making things harder for the characters mostly, more a mystery and less people telling them where to go
- the show switches characters in the book out for other characters to foreshadow future books. This is both good in that it ties the seasons of the TV together, but also there is a certain niceness to the book having more minor one-off characters.
- Book politics are quite different than show politics. need to read book 2 to say more
- being in millers head is so interesting. the man is hallucinating!
- other than that, the dual point of view means that we miss out on more character development from people who aren't miller and holden. I like all the things the TV show added in, because it mostly did add and not detract. Which again, impressive, and faithful
