To Shape a Dragon's Breath by Moniquill Blackgoose

3.0

great idea, slightly less great execution

I enjoyed this book a lot, but was also a little disappointed in the execution of this very good idea there are points at which the educational matter got a bit tedious, especially when it was just assigning new words to already existing concepts, such as geography and chemistry. I would’ve liked this book to have either an entirely novel magical system, or much briefer explanations of the copied chemistry. Despite that, I would recommend reading this book because it is a great concept and I would like to see it explored further in book 2.
