The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
5.0
This was on my TBR for Sooo long. It had mixed reviews from the book lovers I follow, and I wasn’t inclined to move it to the top of the list. That was a mistake.
This book was hooky like a thriller, it kept my interest to understand the connection between Monique and Evelyn. It was all encompassing in the same way that I found Where the Crawdads Sing to be. And enriching as well as inclusive a la The Hate You Give, albeit for different reasons.
All and all, I’ve finished this book feeling thoughtful and inspired. I’m left with a surreal curiosity for human behavior in general, and an incredible introspective narrative of my own life choices.
Five stars.
