Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer

3.0

ok, so there is absolutely no reason why it took me six months to read this behemoth. no reason at all. i'm just painfully slow.

this was nice. i haven't read the twilight books in over ten years, but re-reading the beginning of the series from edward's perspective was nice. he's a lot funnier in his own mind, and there's a lot more depth to him and even bella after reading this. i'm tacking on a whole extra star just for how outright funny some of the thoughts he had to deal with are.

it'd be kinda rad, i guess, if stephenie wrote the rest of the series from his perspective too - but i can't guarantee that i'm gonna wait a whole decade for her to do so.
