In the end I did really like this book, but it started out soooo slow, & even with the beauty and the beast aspects, I just had trouble getting into it. But once things started getting good (a lot 75% through the a book!), I couldn’t put it down.
I’ve heard a lot about this series & i went into knowing some spoilers and such, and it is driving me nuts, that everything I knew about this series going into book 1, DOES NOT track with book 1! Particularly the love triangle & everyone’s love for Rhysand over Tamlin. Tamlin is such a sweetheart, & Rhysand, though he did get a bit better as the book went on, he is very much an ass! Maybe one you love to hate, but an ass all the same. I don’t get it!
Now, I have to go start book 2 and see if it will help clear up more of my confusion! lol
