Life for Sale by Yukio Mishima

when I started I thought, oh, this is pretty weird, I like it. the more I read the more I thought, the way he portrays every single woman in this is /so/ bizarre. other goodreads ppl describe the book as a "pulpy noir," and that's pretty on the nose; I liked that it kept moving along and, again, was weird. in other thoughts, translating literature must be so difficult.
