This book would make so much more sense of it was a satirization of the super hero genre. The setting and the characters decidedly lack originality. Parts of the book are obviously ripped from Marvel, DC, the Incredibles, and the Boys. Quite honestly, I don’t know how this book hasn’t been taken down for copyright infringement yet. Despite appropriating from interesting and well-rounded franchises, the author manages to remove anything well-rounded and interesting from this story. The characters, including the main character, but especially the girls, are so two-dimensional that I doubt whether they even have two dimensions. The girls exist as little more than sex objects, and the sex is almost poorly written as the plot. The author also needs to work on describing things and especially people. “Tight” and “firm” appear to be their two favorite adjectives, describing both body parts and clothing for whatever reason. One woman is literally called a “manic pixie dream girl” but does not have any attributes of that description, but a different girl (who is not described as a manic pixie dream girl) is the embodiment of that stereotype?
It’s entertaining, I’ll give it that, but not nearly entertaining enough to read more of the series
