🌶️🌶️
This book absolutely swept me off my feet, I’m so glad I picked it up as I was absolutely enthralled from the get go.
Sage quickly became a fast favourite character, her fiery personality and sarcastic nature was something I instantly felt a kinship towards and in my opinion made for such a perfect main character in this book.
Following Sage’s journey to get Kaleb, her brother, back when he is conscripted is one full of twists and turns to no end.
Joining a band of rebel misfits with a complete range of personalities makes for a great story with incredible character interactions.
Von is absolute sin personified, he knows exactly what buttons to press to get the exact reactions he wants from Sage, most of which are very heated reactions.
The mystery aspect surrounding the lore within this world is sublime, I love how this wove itself amongst the desires and aims of the characters.
That ending was something else (in a good way) and I’m so glad to be able to pick up the next book straight away.
