Quick, absurd, and relatable for anyone tromping through our post-lockdown industry nightmare.

A Helpbot body-snatcher, howling wolves driving a team lead to madness, an office affair, and all told through Slack messages? Sold.

Thumbs Up: #TransRightReadaThon late entry but damn this book WAS SO FUNNY. I thought the Slack messages back and forth would get old very quick but it was so clever and laugh-out-loud hilarious that I never found the edge. Too relatable for anyone in the post-COVID capitalist hellscape of office life and a perfect read for one sitting.

Thumbs Down: Sorry! I got nothing.

Was it a nail biter? You bet! I was so thrilled that I was able to snatch a copy of this ARC because I was rolling. If someone was looking for how to describe my sense of humor, I will just hand them this book. Sci-fi readers rejoice as your help messages have finally reached its destination with this one.
