RATING: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

DISCLAIMER: I Was sent an Arc of this book in exchange for an Honest Review.

Overall Summary: This is the 5th book in the FBAA series HOWEVER, It’s an interesting scenario that I want people to understand going into it. This book follow the events of TWOTQ as well as the retelling of the first book from Hawks POV. The book is set up with alternating timelines of current events then “flashbacks” (kind of) of the first book being told from the different POV. This book is not optional. It’s not a companion or a retelling. The current events going on in this book are critical to the series.

Pacing:
Wonderful. Perfect combination of past and current timeline merging together.

Plot:
Surprisingly the plot for this book wasn’t as repetitive as I initially feared. The combination of present day events mixed with flashbacks of stuff going on that no one was aware of in the first book left me with such a cozy yet thrilling experience.

Character Development:
Once again I’m surprised because the character development for Cas was so intense. We got an inside look at his trauma and coping mechanisms that helped to give further insight into his decisions and growth. So even tho this was a book mostly in the past with events we already have read about this strengthened my understanding of his character.

Critiques:
The Only thing I would have loved more of in this book was Kieran. He is so underrated and honestly I’d kill for a Kieran POV.

Applause: The boys. I love them. The emotion. Kieran. 👏 … Kieran ;)
Anywho.

Final Thoughts:
If you’re scared this is a Novella or possibly something that’s a side story you can skip I would disagree. If you’re a fan of the FBAA series you’ll for sure need to read this before the final book comes out.
