The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn

Some beautiful moments and strong relationships (big fan of crista s relationships with digby and Willoughby and Leon).
But a slog to get through. Too much in terms of time and characters and side stories. It was so unbalanced that new characters were being introduced 400+ pages in but other characters were forgotten...I might have cared about maudie's triumphant ending more if she'd had more than a few pages of screen time. And did crista ever follow up on her BFF potentially getting sent off to die in a concentration camp?
