A Lesson in Secrets
by Jacqueline Winspear
I really liked this book! I can't wait for book # 9 to be released next month! This series could go on and on and I would keep reading it!

I love that James and Maisie are together. I think he rocks. I hope that he is THE one. I felt like the author did major foreshadowing of the former Detective Inspector Stratton to be a future possible romance for Maisie at the end of this book. Felt like she was totally setting that up for the future, and I do love him, but James seems like a perfect fit for Masie.
I had suspected that Maisie would work in the Secret Service and loved her assignment. I had not guessed the plot and love that the plot always has so many possibilities and keeps you guessing. I love this author, she is amazing!
I love how Maisie got Billy and his family into a house! Finally helping Billy, who is my fav!
I had suspected that Sandra's hubby had been murdered and was so happy that Maisie could help her. I think there is potential for Sandra to become Maisie's future assistant, and I think Maisie will get Sandra in school and support her in getting a higher education.
I enjoyed the little courting Maisie's dad is doing with her housekeeper and found that interesting.
I just hope Maisie will not let James slip away and commit already! That's my only thing I get annoyed about with Maisie! And, I always wonder, when does Maisie have time to do her laundry, house cleaning and grocery shopping? She always comes home to a clean house, has clothes to wear and food to eat, but works pretty much 24/7, lol!
I do worry that Priscilla will have to send all three of her boys to WWII, they will be of perfect age when that war hits... I bet she will skip the country and hide them or something... I love Priscilla and her family, and possibly I relate so well, since I have three boys that sound much like her boys, lol!
