i thought it was better than the reviews. i really liked all the description and how persistent Patricia had been regardless of gross men and how her friends were whipped by their husbands. i think the book did a good job at addressing what it was like to be a housewife but i still was infuriated by the patriarchy and racism. pretty gruesome and a few parts that could’ve been shorter but overall not too bad.
