Isaac might have been Tovah’s childhood crush and friend, but this poor bastard fell first and kept fucking falling harder every damn day like gravity was personally out to wreck his ass. This mafia prince, who struts around like a goddamn sunshine boy, is hiding a dark as fuck past that matches hers perfectly. The way he stood up for her? Had me feral, full on "throw me into a wall" swoony shit.

The forest scene? The goddamn spice? 🥵 Somebody call the fire department because my soul fucking combusted. And do not even get me started on how he took care of her when she was sick — I was literally melting into a horny little puddle. 😮‍💨🤌🏻

The banter? Ooooh baby, ooooh la la. Tovah is a badass woman, a firecracker who can handle all Isaac’s sunshine wrapped darkness without breaking a damn sweat. I should not have been cackling like a goddamn banshee at those chaotic parts, but fuck it, I was screaming and kicking my feet. 😈

The ending slapped me so hard I saw stars... Isaac, congrats, you are officially stamped, laminated, and shoved onto my fictional bf list. For the love of all that is holy, CHECK THE FUCKING TW/CW because this shit gets dark and twisty in ways your therapist warned you about.

This is my honest opinion for the ARC I received. Thanks to Jo and The Author Agency for this amazing opportunity! I can’t wait for book 3.
