This book kept me reading any chance I had. I really enjoyed the mix of realistic world and magical elements, especially a few years after our own (non-magical) pandemic started. I fell in love with the characters and their storylines had me tearing up from sadness and happiness all throughout the book. The one thing I didn’t like was that sometimes conversations would happen between multiple characters without a clear indication of who is saying what, which really would take me out of the story as I figured out which character was talking. I plan on starting the next one immediately!
