The Bullet That Missed by Richard Osman
4.0

When my friend Curtis started reading The Thursday Murder Club, he immediately knew that this style of story (the comedic hijinks of a group of octogenarians living in a retirement village) would greatly appeal to me...and, here I am, having just gobbled up #3 of the series, eagerly anticipating the release of #4 in September. For me, the murder mystery is a secondary component of these books--watching the development of new relationships and established friendships among the main characters holds the greatest draw. I can only hope that I will age as gracefully as the charter members of The Thursday Murder Club.
