I’m not a huge fan of Hawthorne prose. At times it felt very clunky and quite frankly boring. Nevertheless his stories still hold merit and ambiguity to them that don’t make it hard to see why people are avid fans of his. The Great Stone although simple and quite repetitive was my favorite.
