Oh it is fucking goooooood to be back with Murderbot holy shit I was on such a roll with these and really fell off but the timing was great. A fun, lower stakes adventure than The Empire of Gold which I am currently rereading slowly and emotionally.

But yeah, this was great fun (as always) and has me wanting to maybe reread the others soon but we shall see. Also realised it's technically like, noir detective fiction a la my fucking lit unit this semester so like technically this is uni adjacent a little bit. Solving crimes and all that while being injured and detached from society and all that.

2024 reread
I think this was the one I was least excited to reread, even though I didn't remember the specifics of the whodunnit I'm rarely (if ever) in the mood for this kind of mystery solving adventure. It was fun getting to see Murderbot getting into shenanigans and more of Preservation though - that's the best part I think is the expansion of the world/universe.
