Absolutely incredible. This is a cosy fantasy mixed with dark academia in a modern UK setting, and Tesh pulls it off perfectly. Fantastic use of thaumaturgy-as-academia, believable dialogue, compelling prose. The main character is fantastically competent. Would read again and recommend liberally. The only slight criticism is that I found the middle part of the book dipped a little bit. But the first & third acts really made up for it.
