The Dragon of Sedona by Genevieve Jack

4.0

The fourth book in the Treasure of Paragon series features Alexander and Maiara and their tragic fate. When the dragons were sent from Paragon, they eventually made their way to the New World in the 17th century. Maiara was their guide through the wilderness, a woman of unusual talents. She became Alexander's mate, but tragically died. Now, in present day Sedona, Alexander's pain is eating him alive and his only reminder of his love is a charmed hawk, who seems to have acquired the one thing Maiara did not: immortality. But when Alexander's siblings converge on his world to reveal the truth about Paragon, his life is immeasurably altered.
I admit, I almost gave up on this story. The first half is a bit plodding and slow, and I had to believe it would get better. Boy howdy, did it! When the plot finally picks up, it picks up fast and the remaining story flew by in no time! Now, I'll be eagerly awaiting Book 5.
