Obsessed with Jescie Hall’s writing!!!

So I did it a little backwards and read Kid first and automatically fell in love so I just had to pick up Hawke immediately after and I’m so glad I read them back to back! This story was INCREDIBLE!

Our FMC is Nicole (Nic). She’s a writer and in love with her boyfriend Patrick, who she lives with. She enjoys her life with Patrick. Things are routine.. he goes to work, she writes and then on other days she works at the local bar. Everything is perfect except.. the bedroom. Patrick lacks in that department but for love.. Nicole is willing to deal. Until ..

Hawke.. Hawke is our MMC and he’s everything Patrick isn’t. He’s a bad boy, ex convict, who just got out of prison and he becomes their roommate. Hawke is muscular, lean, dark haired and has a tantalizing lip piercing that Nicole loves to look at. But they don’t set off on the right foot.

The book is an experience. It’s a journey that Nicole takes in finding out who Hawke really is, how he knows “clean-cut” Patrick, and finding her true happiness. It’s emotional and amazingly written and if you’ve been through Nic’s situation before, then it makes it even more heartfelt.

Jescie Hall has an incredible writing style. She really has a knack for writing fantastic characters with relatable personalities and really makes you feel a part of the story. Hawke is definitely, without a doubt a 5 star read for me!! But please check tropes & triggers. This book does contain cheating. Amazing amazing amazing!! Loved it!!
