I first picked up this book at a mystery book store in Westwood. I devoured it in a day and immediately went out and bought the rest of the series. I love this series, and I had gotten the latest book for my birthday this year. I decided to re-read the series since it had been a while. It’s one of my favorites.
This is a fun, light story. Abby is a great character, and I love her personality. The mystery is good and it keeps you guessing. I liked that Abby is able to use her psychic abilities to help catch the killer. I love the romantic tension between her and Dutch, the police detective. I really wanted them to get together throughout the whole book.
Victoria Laurie’s writing style makes for a fun, fast read. She does a good job of balancing the tense scenes with humor. Her characters are all lively and likeable. As I said, this is one of my favorite series because it makes for a good fun, fast read, and it’s good at making me laugh as well as keeping me on the edge of my seat.
