The cover of this book sucks. I remember being really upset over it when it was released, and I’m still not over it. Looks like they fired an artist last minute and asked if anyone’s kid knew how to use procreate. The story itself was okay. Unfortunately, I am here for the plot, and there’s not too much of that; more smut than plot. Don’t get me wrong, the sex scenes are really well written, but when the sex scenes are over, it would be nice to refocus on the story, instead of the characters being in serious situations and only thinking about Boston Kreme donuts. As usual the last 100 pages were fantastic. But we shouldn’t have to wade through 600 pages to get to the good stuff. Definitely my least favorite in the series. And please for the love of all that is holy, can we please stop saving every character from death or serious harm with a Deus Ex Machina? It’s becoming a little predicable. Still love you, Maas. Here’s my ranking that no one asked for:

1) ACOMAF
2)ACOWAR
3) ACOTAR
4) ACOFAS
5) ACOSF
