First of all, I cannot believe this book is a DEBUT novel. It is everything. It's epic, it's struggle, it's people trying to make it through horrible circumstances. It’s gods and love and fire and blood and I am NOT speaking metaphorically. This is a book about rage. And about turning that rage on the whole damn world. I was so sucked in from the minute I picked it up and I can’t wait to read the sequel. And after putting it down, I just stared into space for a few minutes.
