This is one of the best stories in this series. It is relevant to today's struggles with the "idea" of Clean Energy...and the actual application of Clean Energy, which in some cases isn't clean at all. Also, the people who are promoting it, are sometimes not even the Clean Energy people, but ones to profit off of it, though they themselves are not proponents of it in the first place.
I'm with Joe Pickett, the political arena is a dirty place. It seems that no one escapes without "sh*t" all over them. Ugh.
Loved the progression of the story of Joe...an his ability to muck things up, but then STILL get the bad guys (this is not a spoiler, for it happens in every story/novel).
How he does it...is the best part, and you have to RAFO (read and find out).
Love that Nate was involved. He's such a mercurial character, but the presence of Joe and his "Dudley Do-Right" attitude...is helping Nate to be a better human.
Also, I truly feel that Sheridan is seeing the path forward for her life. Yes, it isn't going to be glamorous, but she really needs to follow her passion and become a Game Warden...like her dad.
All around, this was a great story. The social media aspect. The "Dude Ranch" angle. The socialight from England. The missing person, and eventually the hunt. The wicked corporation doing evil things. So much tension being built throughout the story.
Such a good read. Okay, now on to Joe Pickett
