2.75 rounded up. Something about this seemed weaker than the previous book. The characters seemed more like paper cutouts, and the story felt a bit forced. The convenience of being MCs is strong with this one. As is the trope of everyone but the MCs being evil or incompetent. I also do not take kindly to cliffhanger endings.

EDIT: Still stand by my older review, hope the show shores up the plot!
