I really wanted to like this book but I wasn't able to get into it because I had a hard time relating and connecting to Wallace, our main character. All the life lessons he needed to learn felt... obvious and... human? Granted his story makes sense given his personality but meh, he wasn't likable nor did he grow on me. I was much more into the last third of the book and enjoyed it for that reason alone.
