I enjoyed a lot of things about this book, mainly the villain and AI (for the most part. I have some grievances), I also appreciated how fleshed out all the characters were, would love to have more POVs in future books, because even though Kat did grow on me, it was very irritating to be inside her head through a lot of the book. Honestly, all the reasons it's not quite a 4/5 for me have to do with the genre. I thought some scenes were just ridiculously dramatic, when others get into drab detail about police procedure, I'm just not one for a police drama and its tropes. Regardless, I think I'd read the second book, mainly to see the characters' relationships develop.
